![]() ![]() ![]() Decky on the forum could probably help as well. ![]() Yes it can be hard to find someone that will do kits in Australia ,maybe RoHo might be able to step in and help. Lucas also has done a number of 240v trannys for Bottleheads as well over the years I've had a good look at one of their 300B SET's. Yes they have their own sound but I rather have something that has the sound quality as well as reliablity. Something you keep for 2 years before it cooks itself. To be honest for the money their a rip off when you add up all the cost Kit price plus repairs & mod parts even worse fully assmbled plus repairs and new components. He's worked on atleast 4 of the trams and went through a number of the issues with me that they have. He could draw up any pre circuit that any person is interested in ,build the iron pre assemble or you could assemble your self, or part assemble and he could do final assembly. I do wonder if there is a current DIY equivalent or second hand DHT unit under $2-$3K that is close in SQ for example to the well regarded Coincident SLS or the Eddie Current BA preamps? Yes I had that one coming Malcolm ! (Quality = unreliably, heating issues, high maintenance, noise etc) However, having looked at both the current Transcendent and Bottle head offerings the Tram 2 (once modded) would I imagine be superior ![]()
